Above you can see following variations (left to right):

  • 1984 date stamp. Dark red head scarf, dull red trousers
  • 1985 date stamp. Bright red head scarf, brighter red trousers

SMILE in Hong Kong produced the Barada figure and accessory. Demand had slowed by time of the POTF line, and as a result these figures were produced in much lower numbers.

The production version is available with only a date, and no country of origin stamp. The COO was simply adjusted by restamping a “5” directly over the “4” in “1984”.

The two figures have many very slight paint and plastic colour variations including the red paint used on the scarf and a brighter red in the plastic used to shoot the leg parts.

1984 stamped Barada was sometimes packaged with the second issue of the Sears exclusive Jabba the Hutt Dungeon Action Playset while 1985 Barada was packaged in the same playset, as well as Trilogo and 92bk POTF cards.

ACCESSORIES
Barada was packaged with the Skiff Vibro staff. This accessory is yet to be documented on Variant Villain.
