Above you can see following variations (left to right):

  • Tanned head plastic
  • Lighter head plastic (degradation?)

SMILE in Hong Kong produced the Yak Face figure and accessories. Demand had slowed by time of the POTF line, and as a result these figures were produced in much lower numbers.  The production version is only available with a date, but no country of origin stamp.

The date stamps are very similar, however looking at the cavity details around the hip joint and soles of the feet has helped confirm four cavities.

It’s difficult to know if the lighter head I’ve documented here is a genuine plastic colour variation or equally possible a result of plastic degradation. I’ve included both for now until a consensus is reached.

Yak Face was released on Trilogo and 92bk POTF cards.

ACCESSORIES
Yak Face was packaged with the Skiff Vibro staff. Occasionally the Trilogo Yak Face was packaged with a black M1 Palace blaster, and often the Trilogo Yak Face did not include an accessory at all. The Skiff Vibro staff is yet to be documented on Variant Villain.
