Klaatu Skirt
There are three main skirt variations. Each of those came in a fluffy and a flat version. Subvariants do exist and may not all be documented. As a result of the fact that these were produced from a fabric bought from a third party involved, the subvariants may vary heavily depending on the supplier.
There are three main skirt variations: M1 used by SMILE in Hong Kong, M2 which was used by UNITOY in Hong Kong and M3 which was used by Lili Ledy in Mexico. The main differences are in the shape and the materials used. All three versions came as fluffy or flat skirt. M1 used a pointed cut belt with the rounded skirt tip. Both fabrics (belt and skirt) were used horizontally. M2 used a pointed cut belt with an also pointed skirt tip. Both fabrics (belt and skirt) were used vertically. In addition their inner belt material being yellow or green stands really out. M3 skirts have a rounded belt with the skirt tip also being rounded. The fluffy skirts are made out of a very thick linen-like material in stockinette stitch. Both, the fluffy and the flat version, came also with a “non leathery” belt. Those so called fabric belts (M3.1b and M3.2b) originally had a paint or vinyl layer with a fabric backing which over the years turned brittle and delaminated, exposing the fabric backing.
M1 was produced by SMILE in Hong Kong. These skirts have a pointed cut belt with the rounded skirt tip. The inner lining on both fabrics (belt and skirt) is orientated horizontally. Both, the M1.1 (fluffy) and the M1.2 (flat), can come with creme or white inner lining to the belts.

Both, the fluffy and the flat version, came also with a “non leathery” belt. Those so called fabric belts (M3.1b and M3.2b) originally had a paint or vinyl layer with a fabric backing which over the years turned brittle and delaminated, exposing the fabric backing.
